|
Jeffrey L. Bahr, Ph.D.
Chief Scientific Officer
Dr. Jeffrey Bahr joined NanoComposites in July 2006, and was appointed
Chief Scientific Officer in January 2007.
Jeff has a wealth of experience in research and product development
centered on materials science and carbon nanotechnology, and
is an established technical leader in the field.
Prior to NanoComposites, Jeff was a Senior Scientist and Group Leader
with Carbon Nanotechnologies, Inc. (CNI). In those capacities
he directed efforts at developing single wall carbon nanotubes
as a precious metal catalyst support for PEM fuel cells, and
led the successful scale-up of several post-production processes
for treatment of carbon nanotubes.
Prior to CNI, he was a NASA-supported postdoctoral fellow
in carbon nanotechnology at Rice University with Professor
James Tour and Nobel Laureate Richard Smalley, where he developed
much of the technology that is now core to NCI.
Jeff holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Texas A&M University,
and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Arizona State University.
He has coauthored numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications,
and is an inventor on a number of U.S. and international patents.
Jeff is married and is an avid hunter.
